Oak Bluffs, originally incorporated in 1880 as Cottage City, is located on the northeast shore of Martha's Vineyard. Back in 1878, Cottage City was part of Edgartown.  Cottage City ( Martha's Vineyard ) is historically significant town when in early years it was the site of a religious camp meeting.
